the glass is always half full...

tomorrow marks the end of 2010; an eventful year by most standards. it had it's ups and downs (more ups though i think, which is a good thing XD ). many good friends drifted away (quite literally, some are in different countries), but i've also met so many wonderful people. unfortunately, they're spread right across the country so it's only rare chances i'll ever see them again, so more people to miss... XD
i've found out this year that if you want someone to stay in your life, you've got to make the effort to keep them there. but sometimes, it's just not worth it. in the end, if they can't be bothered with you, then why should you bother with them? that's the last resort of course... i mean, i've not cried about all this stuff to friends when drunk or anything... ;S anyway, some people are just dickheads. =]
i've also seen things in people that i've never seen before, i've found that if you take the time out to think about what someone is saying then you can find a whole new dimention to their personality, which you could either love or hate. i've found selfishness has been a trend amongst many friends, which i dont really like... but i've also found some new (possibly warped) senses of humour which i think are quite funny... hmm i've said found too many times now, i'll stop... =P
so 2010, thankyou for the good times and everything you've taught me, and bring on 2011, a year of massive change, maybe it will make me more mature (i.e. gain the mental age of more than an 8 year old, or even possibly make me look older than about 12? =]) but lets not get our hopes up ;)
